Norfolk Vanguard Offshore Wind Farm
Decommissioning Programme Consultation
Under Requirement 14 of the Norfolk Vanguard Offshore Wind Farm Order 2022 and the s.105 Notice under the Energy Act 2024, Norfolk Vanguard West Limited (NVWL) is required to consult with relevant stakeholders and submit a draft Decommissioning Programme for the Norfolk Vanguard Offshore Wind Farm (NVW) to the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) for approval prior to the start of offshore construction.
Norfolk Vanguard West is one of three fully consented projects comprising Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone, located off the coast of East Anglia. The purpose of the Decommissioning Programme is to provide preliminary information on the methods and approaches on how the offshore components will be decommissioned at the end of the operational lifetime of this wind farm.
The consultation period will commence on Friday 15th November 2024. Please send any comments about the proposals set out in the draft Decommissioning Programme by email to yana.bosseva@rwe.com and laura.trevivian@rwe.com.
We would be grateful if you could provide us with any comment you may have before midnight on the 20th December 2024.
Following the end of the consultation period, Norfolk Vanguard West will respond to any comments that you may have and amend the document where relevant, prior to officially submitting it to the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero Decommissioning team. The programme will then be updated throughout the operational stage of the project with a final Decommissioning Programme proposal becoming available for consultation two years prior to the start of decommissioning. If you have any questions about the Decommissioning Programme or the consultation, please contact yana.bosseva@rwe.com and laura.trevivian@rwe.com.
